Clean, considered visual work across brand, layout, typography and image.

Selected work

Five projects from a digital media design portfolio, built across Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

Boston Public Garden, a willow tree over a pond with swans, with a figure cleanly removed from the scene

Boston Public Garden

Generative removal & retouch

A supplied garden photo, cleaned up. I removed a figure and the clutter around them with Photoshop Generative Fill, working on named, non-destructive layers so the edit stayed easy to adjust, then rebuilt the background into a calm, uncluttered scene.

The Daily Cup promotional poster: a latte on a dark background with the café logo and a 50% off any coffee offer

The Daily Cup

Brand promo set

A promotional spread for a café. I balanced the supplied logo with a redrawn running-coffee-bean icon so the supporting mark had its own character, then tied the set together with a warm palette and a tidy, production-ready layout.

Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign

Studio portrait of a woman, cut out and placed on a clean neutral background

Background Removal

Portrait cut-out & retouch

A portrait isolated from its original background and rebuilt with non-destructive adjustment layers and careful masking. The aim was a clean, natural result that still read as a real photograph rather than a cut-out.

What is Summer typographic poster using large orange headline type over an arched summer image

Visual Hierarchy

Typographic poster

“What is Summer?” leans on scale, weight and spacing to lead the eye. The oversized headline lands first and the supporting image and repeated type sit underneath it, holding a clear reading order across the page.

InDesign, typography

Autumn poster with a falling figure and a red ribbon against a blue sky

Print to social

One design, adapted for two outputs. The print poster and the Instagram version share the same image and message, but each got its own dimensions, colour handling and export settings so the work held up wherever it was seen.

About

I’m Philip Reddish, a Christchurch-based designer. My background runs across print, digital and brand, from years selling and building advertising to running my own studio, Social Attraction Media.

This portfolio comes out of a digital media design course, where I worked across Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. What I care about most is the same thing in every project: that each choice has a reason behind it and the work actually communicates, rather than just looking the part.

Based in Christchurch, Aotearoa New Zealand.
